Last Philmont ride

My last ride while working at Philmont was on August 31. As usual, the weather was moderate, being about 60 degrees when I left my duplex. The sun rose just before I completed the ride. It is hard to tell people how awesome these rides have been, and I will greatly miss them. As you can see from one of the pictures in the “Training Rides” photo album, the light is definitely needed. The picture was taken on my return, so there was a little light available (which is much different at the beginning of the ride!!). Some of the mornings can be very dark, and there have been times when Elk have crossed the highway in front of me, and that can really get your attention!

All I can say is so long, Northern New Mexico..... I will miss you greatly! IWTGBTP!!!
